Glorified Rice
Glorified Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (20 oz.) cans pineapple tidbits, 1/4 c. granulated sugar, 2 c. cooked long grain rice (soft, but not mushy), 24 marshmallows or 2 c. miniature marshmallows and 1 c. heavy cream, whipped to firm peaks, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Drain the pineapple; combine it with the sugar.
Stir until sugar dissolves; add to the rice in a large mixing bowl.
Fold in the marshmallows; let stand for at least 1 hour.
Before serving, fold in the whipped cream until blended.
Garnish with cherries and nuts.
Chill until ready to serve.
