Glazed Pickles
Glazed Pickles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 7 lb. cucumbers, sliced thin, 2 gal. water, 2 c. lime, ice and 7 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Soak cucumbers in water and lime overnight.
Rinse well.
Then soak in cold water for 2 hours, then rinse and put in ice for 1 hour.
Make your syrup with sugar, salt, vinegar, pickling spice and add ginger right before the cucumbers.
When syrup is boiling, add cucumbers and boil for 20 minutes, then simmer for 1 hour. Put in sterilized jars and seal.
