Gingersnaps
Gingersnaps is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 sticks butter, 1/4 c. packed brown sugar, 1/4 c. granulated sugar, 2 tsp. ground ginger and 1 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cream together butter, sugars, spices and salt.
Add egg and mix thoroughly.
Add molasses and blend.
Sift together twice flour, baking soda and baking powder.
Add to molasses mixture and stir until blended.
Chill well.
Preheat oven to 375Β°.
Using a floured rolling pin, roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness on floured pastry cloth or board.
Use cookie cutter to press out desired shapes.
Place on greased baking sheets and bake 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 30.
