Gingersnaps
Gingersnaps is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. shortening, 1 c. brown sugar, 1/4 c. light molasses, 1 beaten egg and 2 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream the shortening and sugar; add molasses and egg.
Blend well.
Sift all dry ingredients together; add to creamed mixture. Mix well.
Roll into 1 1/2-inch balls.
Place 2 1/2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Flatten slightly.
Press almond into each.
Bake at 350Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
