Gingerbread
Gingerbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 1/2 tsp. ginger, 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Preheat oven to 375Β°.
Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Sift flour with baking soda, spices and salt.
Set aside.
In large bowl of electric mixer at high speed, beat butter, sugar and eggs until smooth.
About 5 minutes on low speed, beat in molasses and water.
Add flour mixture, beating just until smooth. Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream.
Makes 12 servings.
