Ginger Creams
Ginger Creams is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. shortening, 1 egg, 1/2 c. molasses, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream shortening; add sugar, egg and molasses.
Sift flour, salt and spices together and stir into molasses mixture, alternately with hot water and baking soda mixture.
Chill dough thoroughly.
Drop by teaspoon about 2 inches apart on slightly greased baking sheet.
Bake about 8 minutes at 400Β°.
Cover the tops with frosting while still warm.
