German Torte Dessert is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 box german chocolate cake mix, 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, 2 (3 oz.) pkg. instant french vanilla pudding, 3 c. milk and 2 cans cherry pie filling, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Mix cake mix as directed on the box and spread into 2 greased 9 x 13-inch pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 12 minutes.
Combine cream cheese, pudding and milk together.
Spread over the cooled cake, then layer with pie filling.
Put on layer of Cool Whip.
Shave the Hershey bar with vegetable peeler and put over the top.
