German Slaw
German Slaw is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (4 to 5 lb.) cabbage, 1 large onion, sliced thin, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. salt and 1 tsp. dry mustard, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Soak cabbage in cold water before shredding.
Mix cabbage, onion slices and sugar in a large bowl.
Mix salt, 2 teaspoons sugar, mustard and celery seed, vinegar and oil in saucepan.
Boil for 3 minutes and pour over cabbage mixture.
Cover and store overnight.
