German'S Chocolate Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. shortening, 4 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla and 2 tsp. butter flavor, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, vanilla, butter flavor and buttermilk.
Sift together dry ingredients and add to other. Mix well.
Add chocolate that has been softened in double boiler or microwave.
Blend well.

Remove from pan while still hot.
