German Red Cabbage
German Red Cabbage is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 head red cabbage, 1 tbsp. oil, 1 medium onion, 1/4 c. water and 2 tsp. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Slice cabbage fine.
In a pan, add oil and fry onion until soft.
Add water, vinegar and apple; simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour. Add cloves the last 1/2 hour.
Taste for seasoning.
Blend with small amount of cornstarch or flour.
Serve with Rouladen and potato dumplings.
