German Gulasch
German Gulasch is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/4 lb. beef, 1 1/4 lb. onions, 1/4 lb. bacon, 1 tsp. tomato paste and 1 tbsp. paprika, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Cut the beef in cubes.
Cut the onions and bacon in cubes. Heat bacon until translucent, not brown.
Add the meat and brown in two to three portions.
Add the onions and cook until well blended and soft.
Add tomato paste, paprika, salt, pepper and cumin to the meat mixture.
Stir well.
Then add the liquid. Cover pot tightly and simmer on low heat for about 1 1/2 hours.
