German Fruit Cake
German Fruit Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. butter or margarine, 2 c. sugar, 3 c. flour, 2/3 c. each: cherry, apricot and pineapple preserves and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream together butter, sugar and eggs.
Sift together flour and spices.
Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk to which the soda has been added.
Fold in gently the preserves, vanilla and nuts.
Pour into a greased and floured angel food cake pan.
Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until done at 325Β°.
Cool for 15 minutes after it is removed from oven.
