Gallon Jug Refrigerator Bread
Gallon Jug Refrigerator Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. milk, 2 pkg. yeast, 7 c. self-rising flour, 1/2 tsp. soda and 3/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Heat milk to lukewarm and stir in yeast.
Mix together flour, soda and sugar.
Add in the oil and the milk-yeast mixture.
Stir together thoroughly using a nonmetal spoon.
Put mixture in a wide mouth jar.
(Sun tea jar will do.) Put in refrigerator loosely covered.
After 3 1/2 hours, stir down; put lid on jug.
Dough is now ready to be used or can be kept in refrigerator up to 4 weeks. Bread can be made into rolls, loaves or cinnamon rolls.
After having enough flour worked in to be workable (no need for second rising), bake at 375Β° for about 20 minutes.
