Beat eggs and add other ingredients to make a waffle-like batter.
Heat 2-inches of vegetable shortening in a 9-inch iron skillet to 350Β°.
It must be very hot.
Pour the batter through a funnel into the skillet, going round and round in a coil-like pattern until the pan is covered with batter ropes.
Fry brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Serve with molasses.
