Funnel Cakes
Funnel Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 egg, 1 1/4 c. flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 3/4 tsp. baking powder and 3/4 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In medium bowl, beat egg with milk, flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Using funnel with about 3/8-inch diameter spout opening, hold finger over end of funnel spout.
Pour about 3 tablespoons batter into funnel if using round mini-fryer, heated to 375Β° or 4 tablespoons of batter for rectangular mini-fryer. Move finger as batter flows through spout.
Move funnel in a crisscrossing pattern above surface of hot oil until funnel is empty.
Fry about 1 minute, turn and fry another 1/2 minute. Remove from pan, drain on paper towel.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Makes 6 funnel cakes.
