In medium bowl, beat egg with milk, flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

Using funnel with about 3/8-inch diameter spout opening, hold finger over end of funnel spout.

Pour about 3 tablespoons batter into funnel if using round mini-fryer, heated to 375Β° or 4 tablespoons of batter for rectangular mini-fryer. Move finger as batter flows through spout.

Move funnel in a crisscrossing pattern above surface of hot oil until funnel is empty.

Fry about 1 minute, turn and fry another 1/2 minute. Remove from pan, drain on paper towel.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Makes 6 funnel cakes.
