Wash pieces brick and rocks in plain water until they are thoroughly

Wet sponge and wring it out. Place rocks, bricks and/or sponge a shallow glass bowl (do not use metal of any kind).

Arrange to suit your fancy, placing on top of each to get the desired shape you want.

The good thing about the sponge is that you can cut it to desired shapes.

Mix water, bluing get this at the grocery store, I just called to see) and ammonia in a glass jar. Pour over the rocks, being sure to dampen all of them with the mixture.

Drop or two of food color and a few drops of bluing on or two of the rocks.

Sprinkle with 4 tablespoons salt watch it grow.

Add 2 tablespoons each water and ammonia after two days to edge of bowl.
