Fudgy Cocoa Brownies
Fudgy Cocoa Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening or 1 stick butter or margarine, 1/3 c. cocoa, 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Grease an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
Remove melted butter from heat, add cocoa and stir until well blended.
Add sugar and mix well.
Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
Stir in vanilla, flour and salt; mix but do not overbeat.
Fold in nuts. Spread in prepared pan and bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Frost if desired.
