Fudge Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with scant 1/2 c. cocoa, 1 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt, 3 tbsp. shortening and 1 unbeaten egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream cocoa with sugar, salt and shortening.
Add unbeaten egg, vanilla, flour, baking powder and milk.
Add chopped nuts, if desired.
Bake at 350Β°.
