Fudge Ribbon Cake

Cream 2 tablespoons butter with the cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and cornstarch.
Add 1 egg, 2 tablespoons milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla; beat until smooth.
Grease and flour bottom of a 13 x 9-inch pan.
Place in bowl the flour, 2 cups sugar, salt, baking powder, soda, 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup milk.
Blend, then beat for 1 1/2 minutes at a low speed.
Add 1/3 cup milk, 2 eggs, Choco-bake and 1 teaspoon vanilla; beat 1 1/2 minutes.
Spread half of batter in pan.
Spoon cheese mixture over batter; spread to cover.
Top with remaining batter.
Bake at 350Β° for 50 to 60 minutes.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar or chocolate frosting.
