Fudge Cake
Fudge Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. butter, 2 1/4 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 3 eggs and 3 c. sifted cake flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla with mixer.
Add eggs, beating until light and fluffy.
Add melted chocolate and blend well.
Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with water to chocolate mixture.
Pour batter into three 8 or 9-inch pans which have been greased and lined with waxed paper.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
Put layers together with date filling.
Frost with favorite fudge frosting.
