Fruit Squares
Fruit Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 4 eggs, 1 c. butter or margarine, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
Add the eggs.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla.
Stir in flour and baking powder.
Mix until smooth.
Grease a 13 x 9-inch cake pan.
Spoon pie filling into the cake in 16 spots, spacing 4 spoonfuls evenly in each direction and bake.
Flip cake on serving plate.
Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
This is great served warm.
