Fruit Slush
Fruit Slush is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour. Made with c. sugar, c. water, (no. 2) can crushed pineapple, (12 oz.) can unsweetened frozen orange juice and ripe bananas, mashed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine sugar and water in saucepan.
Bring to a quick boil for 2 to 3 minutes.
Cool syrup.
Mix fruit and juice into syrup and freeze at least 3 hours.
Before serving, remove from freezer and thaw to slushy consistency.
(This can be made several days ahead of serving and frozen, but can take up to 8 hours to thaw.)
