Mix egg yolks, sugar and flour well.
Add milk and stir over boiling water until thick.
Add vanilla.
Bake pie shell and line bottom of pie shell with sweetened, cooked, dried fruit.
Put the vanilla filling on top of dried fruit.
Top with meringue and brown.
