Sift flour and soda; set aside.
Over medium heat, bring water, dates, apples and raisins to boil.
Reduce heat.
Simmer 3 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in margarine.
Pour into bowl. Cool slightly.
Stir in dry ingredients, oats, beaten eggs, vanilla and walnuts.
Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350Β° for 12 to 14 minutes.
