Fruit Cocktail Cake
Fruit Cocktail Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 can fruit cocktail, 1 c. sugar, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 c. sifted flour and pinch of salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Drain fruit cocktail; place in large bowl.
Sift sugar, baking soda, sifted flour and salt.
Add dry ingredients to fruit cocktail.
Add butter and egg.
Fold mixture carefully to keep from mashing fruit.
Spread mixture in a 9 x 12-inch pan.
Sprinkle with brown sugar and nut meats.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes. Serve with Cool Whip or Lemon Butter Sauce.
