Fruit Bars
Fruit Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar, 1 c. plain flour, 2 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla and 2 c. nuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cream margarine and sugar.
Add eggs and beat in.
Add flour and vanilla.
Place nuts in well greased floured pan and pour batter over nuts.
(Dab spoonfuls of dough over nuts and spread as evenly as possible.)
Dice pineapple and cherries and press down into the batter.
Bake at 350Β° about 45 mins. in 13x9-inch pan. Cool and cut into bars.
(I use less pecans.)
