Fruit Bars
Fruit Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick margarine, 1 tbsp. vanilla, 1 1/3 c. light brown sugar, 2 eggs and 1 c. plain flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream the first three ingredients together until smooth.
Add the next two ingredients into mixture.
Stir well.
Grease and flour an oblong cake pan.
Place 2 cups broken pecan pieces on bottom.
Wet hands and smooth cream mixture over the nuts.
Combine in bowl the candied fruit pieces.
Sprinkle fruits over batter and press evenly into batter.
Cook 1 hour at 300Β°.
Cut while still warm into squares.
Re-cut and remove when cool.
