Frozen Pickles
Frozen Pickles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. unwaxed cucumbers (4 c. packed) sliced thin, 3/4 lb. yellow onions (2 c. packed) sliced thin, 4 tsp. salt, 2 tbsp. water and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix cucumber, onion, salt and water in large bowl and let stand 2 hours.
Drain.
Return vegetables to bowl. Add sugar, vinegar and dill.
Let stand, stir until sugar dissolves and covers vegetables. Pack in Ziploc Freezer bags and freeze.
Serve thawed but ice cold.
Yield 1 quart.
