Frosted Creams
Frosted Creams is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. shortening, 1/4 c. molasses, 1 c. hot water, 1/4 tsp. ginger and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Grease and flour 10 x 15-inch pan.
Add salt to shortening and mix.
Add sugar gradually and cream it.
Mix in egg and molasses. Sift together flour, baking soda and spices.
Add to first mixture alternating with hot water.
Bake in floured pan for 30 minutes. Let cool and frost with buttercream frosting.
