Fried Rice

Fried Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. uncooked rice, 1 large onion, minced, 1 medium carrot, sliced very thin, 3/4 stick margarine and 2 c. water (hot), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

👨‍🍳 Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°.

Dissolve bouillon cubes in 2 cups hot water (I do this in a microwave).

Brown rice in 3/4 stick margarine in Dutch oven.

When rice is brown add onion and carrot, stirring constantly.

Add beef bouillon and stir.

Immediately cover and place in oven.

Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.

Serves 4 to 6 people.

I use a cast iron Dutch oven for this.

The rice comes out really fluffy.
