Fried Green Tomatoes
Fried Green Tomatoes is an easy dinner. Made with 3 green tomatoes, sliced, 1/2 c. cornmeal, salt and pepper to taste, 1/2 c. buttermilk and salad oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Combine cornmeal, and pepper in a shallow dish. Pour buttermilk into shallow bowl.
Heat 1/2-inch of oil in large cast-iron skillet.
Tomato slices in buttermilk, then in cornmeal.
Dip in buttermilk again, then the cornmeal again. Gently drop slices into hot fat and fry on both sides until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
