Cut corn from cob; set aside.

In 8-inch skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove and crumble, reserving drippings.

Add corn, milk, sugar, salt and pepper to reserved drippings. Cover and cook 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

In screw top jar shake together light cream and flour until combined, stir into corn mixture.

Add butter or margarine, cook, stirring constantly until thickened and bubbly.

Garnish with crumbled bacon.
