Fresh Apple Cake
Fresh Apple Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 c. salad oil, 3 eggs, 3 c. flour and 1 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Preheat oven to 325°.
Mix sugar and oil with electric mixer, beating at high speed for 1 minute.
Mix dry ingredients and add dates (optional).
Add to sugar mixture.
Fold in apples, vanilla and nuts and pour into greased and flour-dusted angel food cake pan.
Bake at 325° for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tests done.
Cool on rack for 15 minutes before removing from pan.
Serves 8 to 10.
