Five O'Clock Rolls
Five O'Clock Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 pkg. dry yeast, 1 c. sugar, 3 c. warm water, 2 eggs, well beaten and 1/2 c. melted shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Mix the yeast, sugar and warm water; let stand 15 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients.
Mix together; knead into a soft dough, barely holding its shape.
Punch down every hour until 10 o'clock (5 P.M. to 10 P.M.).
Shape and place on greased pans. Cover with cloth and plastic bag.
Bake early next morning at 350Β° for 20 to 25 minutes.
Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
