Five Layer Dinner
Five Layer Dinner is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 medium onion, 1 tbsp. shortening, 1 lb. ground beef, 1 tsp. seasoned salt and 1 tsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Chop onion; place in pan with shortening.
Add ground beef and cook until brown.
Pour off excess fat.
Add chili powder; mix well.
Place meat in casserole dish as first layer, then green lima beans and the corn.
Pour tomatoes over the corn; sprinkle with pepper.
Mix sugar and salt and sprinkle over each layer, except on cheese.
Top with grated cheese and parsley.
Bake 25 minutes.
Serve hot.
