Cut slices of bacon into one-inch pieces.

Place in bottom of skillet or Dutch oven.

Make ground beef into four patties and place on top of bacon.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Over this, place layers of sliced vegetables, onions, potatoes and carrots. Sprinkle each layer with salt and pepper.

Last, layer green pepper on top.

Place skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat and cook for 3 minutes, after bacon begins to sizzle.

Add can of tomato sauce.

Cover and turn heat to low and simmer 35 to 40 minutes.
