Fish Stroganoff

Fish Stroganoff is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. skinless fish fillets, about 1/2 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper and 6 strips bacon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cut fish in bite-size pieces.

Mix flour, salt and pepper. Coat each piece.

In large frying pan, cook bacon until crisp. Remove bacon from pan and reserve.

Cook onion and fish in bacon fat over medium heat until lightly browned.

Reduce heat and mix in tomato juice, mustard, parsley and garlic powder.

Simmer until sauce thickens slightly, 5 to 10 minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.

Serve over hot cooked rice or toast points. Crumble bacon and put on top of each serving.

Serves 6.
