Firehouse Spaghetti is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 lb. ground beef, 2 c. diced pork chops or pork loin, 1 onion, chopped, 1 can ro-tel tomatoes and green chilies and 1 small can tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Start cooking with tomato sauce.

Add Ro-Tel, canned tomatoes and mushrooms.

Brown ground beef and cook pork slowly until tender.

Add the ground beef and pork to sauce.

Saute onions and add to sauce.

Add water to reach desired thickness.

After sauce comes to a boil, reduce heat and cook 2 hours.

About 30 minutes before serving, add cooked vermicelli (thin spaghetti) and package of spaghetti sauce mix.

You may substitute chicken in place of pork or use both.
