Firehouse Chili
Firehouse Chili is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1 large onion, chopped, 4 strips bacon, chopped, 2 (4 oz.) cans sliced mushrooms and 1 can tomatoes, cut up, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In large pot brown ground beef.
In small frying pan, cook onions and bacon until onions are transparent.
Combine with ground beef.
Add remaining ingredients, being sure to add tomato juice last.
Cover and simmer on low for 1 1/2 hours.
Stir frequently.
Serve topped with grated Cheddar and chopped onion. Serve with crackers or cornbread.
