Mix the 7 ingredients in order listed first.

Mix and sift the flour, salt, soda, nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon and add to the first mixture. Add the pecans.

Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350Β° for 10 minutes or until brown.
