Farmer's Brownies

Stir butter into cocoa and hot water; allow to cool.
Sift dry ingredients together and stir into cocoa mixture.
Add eggs; beat in sour milk and then vanilla.

When cool, top with an icing of half cocoa and half powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of softened butter added for richness.
