Fajita Rice
Fajita Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. minute instant whole grain brown rice (uncooked), 1 tbsp. oil, 3/4 lb. flank steak, cut into thin strips, 1 medium onion, sliced and 3 cloves garlic, minced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Prepare rice as directed on package, omitting margarine and salt.
Heat oil in a large skillet on medium-high heat.
Add meat, onion and garlic.
Cook and stir until meat is browned.
Add peppers.
Cook and stir until tender-crisp.
Stir in water, soy sauce and hot pepper sauce.
Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat. Stir in lime juice.
Serve over rice.
Makes 4 servings.
