Exploding Dessert is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. butter, 3/4 c. nuts, 1 1/2 c. coconut, 1 1/2 c. brown sugar and 4 1/2 c. crushed rice chex, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Melt butter; mix with other ingredients, except ice cream. Put half of mixture on bottom of a well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Cover with 1/2 gallon softened ice cream.
Smooth with a spoon; cover with remaining mixture.
Cover with foil and freeze.
