Epicurean Beef
Epicurean Beef is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. beef chuck or stewing beef, cut in 2-inch chunks, 1 c. california burgundy or other red dinner wine, 2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans condensed beef consomme, 1 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Combine beef, wine, consomme, salt, pepper and onions in casserole.
Mix bread crumbs with flour and stir into meat. Cover and bake in a slow oven (300Β°) for about 3 hours or until beef is tender.
Serve over rice or noodles of your choice with a tossed salad and fresh, hot French bread for a delicious, hearty "feel good" meal.
