English Toffee(Tastes Like A Heath Bar) is an easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. real butter, 2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans plus 1/2 c. later, 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar and 1 pkg. mini semi-sweet morsels, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt butter in heavy pan put in sugar.
Cook over medium heat, stir, stir, stir until sugar is melted.
After it starts to melt, put in
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans.
Stir until pulls away from pan; tartar, really stir.
Take off when pinkish-tan, on greased cookie sheet. Pour package of morsels on top of hot mixture, then sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped pecans on top.
Cool, slice and enjoy.
