English Toffee is an easy dinner. Made with 2 sticks less 1-inch butter or margarine, 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped and 1 c. chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Melt butter over low heat.
Stir in sugar.
Constantly stir for 5 minutes.
Add walnuts and cook 5 minutes more, stirring constantly.
Turn to high heat and cook, stirring constantly, about 2 minutes or until it turns medium brown.
Spread on ungreased cookie sheet.
Pour chocolate chips over and spread when melted. Refrigerate until cool.
Break into pieces.
