Cream shortening.

Add brown and white sugar, creaming well. Sift flour and baking powder together.

Stir soda in cup of sour milk.

Add flour and milk alternately to creamed butter and sugar. Add unbeaten eggs.

Beat well.

Add nuts, coconut, vanilla, raisins and grape juice.

Bake in 4 small layers or 3 large ones.
