Elephant Ears
Elephant Ears is an easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/3 c. shortening and 3 to 4 tbsp. cold water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

In a mixing bowl, stir together flour and salt.
Cut in shortening until pieces are the size of small peas.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the water over part of the mixture and gently toss with a fork.
Push to the side.
Repeat until all is moistened, then put on a lightly floured surface.
Roll out like you were making a pie, but try to go oblong, then just cut into squares and put on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for 5 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Let cool.
