Elderberry Pie
Elderberry Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with pastry for two 9-inch pie crusts, 2 1/4 c. berries, 3 tbsp. flour or tapioca, 1/4 c. water and 1 1/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Put berries in bowl; add sugar mixed with flour or tapioca. Let stand until they draw liquid.
Add vinegar.
If they don't draw any juice, add 1/4 cup water.
If the berries have been frozen, they will be juicy.
Pour in pie shell, cut up butter and place over berries, then put on top crust.
Bake 1 hour at 375Β° or until done.
