Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg yolks one at a time, beating well.
Add baking powder, salt and flour alternately with milk.
Add vanilla.
Bake in greased tube pan at 325Β° for 1 1/2 hours.
My oven takes only 1 1/4 hours.
Freeze if desired.
